The family business, which offers upmarket accommodation in a hotel, in apartments and in villas, spent a long time looking for bed linen that would feel genuinely luxurious against a guest's skin and still stand up to demanding professional use.

The answer was the Rusanen Royal range. The 100 per cent cotton sheets now in use at Vuokatin Aateli breathe well, do not build up static and feel silk-soft against the skin. A distinctive weaving technique makes the cotton unusually smooth and pleasant to the touch.

Rusanen Group has worked with Vuokatin Aateli since 2024. Every week, clean bed linen, bath towels and sauna bench covers leave Rusanen's Kerava laundry for Vuokatti. Despite the long distance, logistics between Kerava and Vuokatti have worked well.

Vuokatin Aateli is a family-owned travel business set in the middle of Vuokatti's nature and its outdoor activities. Its range covers apartments, well-equipped villas and a boutique hotel. Restaurant Ainoa operates alongside Hotel Aateli, and the Zen Spa completes the whole.

Responsible cleanliness

Vuokatin Aateli's textiles are cared for at Rusanen's Kerava laundry, where their cleanliness, finish and condition are seen to at every wash. The clean bed linen, towels and sauna bench covers return to Vuokatti ready for the next guest.

The Kerava large-scale laundry has an annual capacity of up to 9 million kilos of laundry, and its wash lines handle a total of 2,000 kilos of textiles an hour. Modern premises and machinery, together with in-house quality control and production planning, keep the handling consistent and the deliveries on schedule.

Environmental factors are built into how the laundry runs. Water is recycled and energy use is cut with heat recovery systems that capture heat from waste water and dryers, among other sources. An automatic dosing system measures the eco-labelled detergents to the gram, based on the textile, the wash programme and how soiled the load is.

Vuokatin Aateli's textiles are washed in Finland, economically and with respect for the environment. Quality, reliability and flexible service run through the whole chain, from the laundry to the hotel room.
