The Rusanen showroom with a hotel room setting and bed linen

Guest Laundry for hotels.

A service the hotel offers to its own guests. The guest places the order with the hotel, and we take it from there.

What it is

The hotel’s service, delivered by us.

Guest Laundry is a business service, not a consumer one. It is sold to the hotel, which offers it to its own guests as part of its service level. The hotel takes the order from the guest, and we handle collection, washing, finishing and return.

Hotels have a constant need to get guests’ personal clothes washed and back in use quickly. In international hotels and among business travellers in particular, Guest Laundry is part of the hotel’s service level. We built the service when the same need started coming up with several of our customers.

Available inThe Helsinki area

Several large hotel chains operating in Finland have taken the service into use.

TurnaroundThe same day

Collection from the hotel in the morning, return to the hotel the same day.

How Guest Laundry works.

01

The guest places an order

The hotel guest leaves their clothes at reception or in the room, following the hotel’s own practice.

02

Collection in the morning

We collect the laundry from the hotel in the morning. Transport runs through our partner, so the hotel does not have to arrange it.

03

Washing and finishing

We wash, finish and inspect the garments at our Helsinki laundry using the right method.

04

Return the same day

Finished garments are returned to the hotel the same day.

Production

A guest’s suit is a different product from the linen flow.

A hotel guest’s own shirt, suit or dress is a very different thing to handle from a hotel’s flow of thousands of linen items. Materials vary, and every item is handled according to its own properties.

Equipment we invested inWe invested in new equipment and developed the production so that we can handle different garments and materials the way each one calls for.
Textile care professionalsWe strengthened the team and hired textile care professionals to look after washing, finishing and quality.
Three washing methodsWe use water washing, modern methods for delicate materials, and dry cleaning.

Getting started

Can be up and running quickly.

The service, the production and the transport model are already running, so we can take new hotels on at short notice.

We go through the practical model with the hotel, the collection and return practices, and what matters for reception. After that the service can become part of the hotel’s everyday work without a heavy onboarding project.
