Hilkka Rusanen opened Pesu-Palvelu in October 1966 in Pieksämäki, in the same building as a public sauna. While the family bathed, the machine washed the laundry.
This year makes sixty years, and the company is led by a third-generation entrepreneur. Along the way we have taken on the oldest laundry in Helsinki, dating from 1930, and the Raahe laundry, still known locally as the Pattijoki laundry.

When was Rusanen founded?
In 1966. Hilkka Rusanen opened Pesu-Palvelu in October 1966 in Pieksämäki, in the same building as a public sauna. The tradition is carried on by third-generation entrepreneur Jori Rusanen.

The workwear laundry is RABC certified to the SFS-EN 14065:2016 standard. The standard covers the control of microbiological cleanliness, and it matters above all in the food industry.
